Senior Finance Analyst

The main duties are as follows :·          Provide financial support and expertise to the business managers·          Make suggestions for continuous improvement in Finance analysis and reporting to business       managers.·          Ensure financial controls are consistently reviewed and updated.·          Explain Financial results to non Finance areas both 1 on 1 and to larger groups.·          Assist the FC in forecasting & budgeting at a departmental level. ·          Ensure that forecast and budget time scales adhered to.·          Assist the FC in forecasting & budgeting at a departmental level. ·          Ensure that forecast and budget time scales are adhered to.·          Put in place accurate and timely financial performance reports focusing on Revenue items, operating costs, overheads and marketing costs ·          Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly results and provide monthly analysis and written commentary by liaising with business areas·          Provide quality commentary on financial performance and ensure that key variances are explained. ·          Suggest corrective action where needed and ensure that follow up action is taken where agreed.·          Ensure that financial performance is given a high profile in all department decision making processes.·          Challenge the relevant business department – particularly through the planning process – to improve         productivity & unit costs.
