Accounts Assistant

Swindon • Permanent • £16000 - £19000

 

About our client:

Our client is a global business with their Head Office based in Wiltshire,that are wanting to build a strong key finance department in Wiltshire

Description:

As an Assistant Accountant, you will form an integral part of the General Ledger Accounting team. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial & statutory accounts
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Cashiering and bank reconciliations
  • Calculating costings for ad hoc projects
  • Ensure efficient transaction processing and ledger maintenance
  • Undertake closures for month end processes
  • Establish relationships with both internal and external customers

Profile:

The successful candidate will be studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. You must be able to demonstrate a reasonable track record of working within a General Ledger Accounting environment. Strong Excel skills (including Macros, pivot tables & v-look ups) are essential in order to hit the ground running.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
