A large national company based in central Croydon.
Description:
The role of General Ledger Reconciliation Accountants Assistant reports to the GL Manager and is responsible for supporting the provision of sound financial reporting for the business through preparation and submission of timely and accurate journals and full balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit accurate journals to ensure costs are allocated across the business
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts ensuring proof of balance is incorporated and all appropriate actions have been taken to clear reconciling items promptly
- Highlight any potential risks & opportunities to management
- Communicate effectively any discrepancies highlighted through the reconciliation process to relevant parties and ensure that these are followed through to conclusion
- Update and amend models & templates as required to ensure calculations reflect accurate costs to the business
- Provide timely and accurate information to the appropriate business units
- BAC's and Chaps input into Bank line on an adhoc basis
Profile:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role specifically having executed complex balance sheet reconciliations to strict deadlines. In addition:
- Highly computer literate with advanced excel skills
- Must be from a large company with multiple sites; oracle knowledge and property background advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with various finance personnel and key contacts throughout the business
- Proactive and enquiring nature
