Valentine & Co is a firm of dedicated insolvency practitioners specialising in all aspects of insolvency, corporate and personal, as well as, where possible, providing advice for corporate and personal financial survival.
Responsible for a portfolio of 20-30 cases carrying them out from outset to closure and reporting directly to partners.
The portfolio will include CVLs, IVAs, Bankruptcies, Administrations and CVAs.
Overseeing the work of support member of staff or more junior administrators.
Updating IPS and attending to compliance generally.
Drafting reports and statements of affairs.
Handling client liaison and assisting with taking initial instruction.
Preparation of D returns and preparation of investigation reports.
Direct liaison with directors and debtors.
Good understanding of carrying out an insolvency investigation and a full understanding of the relevant sections of the Insolvency Act and CDDA.
Completion of VAT and Corporate Tax returns.
Dealing with creditors queries.
Maintaining companies records and dealing with employee claims.
Who we're looking for
Candidates should have both personal and corporate insolvency backgrounds with experience commensurate with the duties required.
The ability to supervise junior staff.
Excellent communication skills and have the motivation to progress within the practice.
Be capable of planning cases from outset to closure.
