Description:
The role of Assistant Financial Accountant is to assist with the process of reconciling financial transactions to ensure they are accurately reflected in the company’s financial records. Other key duties involve the preparation of cash and budget forecasts, and to provide business support to budget holders.
- Each month, assisting in the preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts based on unwinding current bought ledger and sales ledger balances.
- To raise BACS runs, cheques and foreign payments for approval by the Financial Accountant and bank signatories.
- Each reporting period to review and monitor various cost centres spend against budget and to raise journals to accrue for costs to ensure that each period’s results reflect that period’s activities
- To produce monthly reports analysing actual expenditure against budget for budget holders
- To produce other routine periodic financial reports ad hoc analyses of financial information.
- To complete monthly group consolidation packs
- At the end of each reporting period to reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts
- To work on various finance projects as required.
- To provide general financial and administrative support to the business.
Profile:
The ideal candidate will be pro active and a self starter who is looking to progress their accountancy career.
Part Qualified, and with significant knowledge of both cash and banking procedures you will have Advanced Excel skills to include V look ups, Pivot tables and Macros.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
