Manager / Senior Manager Audit and Advisory

Purpose of the role Working closely with both senior and junior management, your role will be to manage, plan and lead your assigned portfolio of clients and the assigned application, learning and development of associated members of the A&A team selected to work on the clients audits. Principal duties• Managing key client relationships ensuring queries are dealt with and deadlines met.• Planning and managing the audit process including resources, carrying out briefings and review meetings.• Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions.• Business development including cross selling of services and attending networking events.• Managing and motivating a team of staff, delegating where appropriate.• Coaching and developing less experienced staff.• Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements;• Participate in group, stream and firm wide activities.

 

Experience / Skills• You will have good audit knowledge with an all round experience of practise work and working with a wide range of clients. • Previous experience of working at Manager level within a practise environment; • Client focussed and commercially aware, able to identify areas of risk.• Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with clients and staff. • Effective communication skills both internally and externally, at all levels of the organisation. • Ability to manage and lead teams.• Experienced user of audit software and IT systems. • Good working knowledge of Companies Act, FRS’s, ISA’s, SSAP’s, FRSSE and IFRS. • Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.Education / Qualifications• Qualified accountant.
