Reconciliations Technical Support

About our client:

High Turnover financial services business

Description:

The role is split as follows:

 

System
  • Ensuring all Bank and Control Account Reconciliations are completed in a timely manner (via Frontier reconciliation system)
  • Ensuring all Daily and Monthly Asset Reconciliations are completed in a timely manner (via Frontier reconciliation system)
  • Ensuring that reconciliation breaks are loaded into BIRT workflow system in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the daily Profit and loss movements reporting the figures weekly and provide a monthly detailed analysis to senior management.
  • Daily integrity reconciliations on Fund Manager (FM). i.e. ensuring that client deals have aggregated correctly into FM deals (Asset and Cash).
  • Control FM deal adjustment process. i.e. place extra deals to fix breaks in a process or system failure
  • Maintenance of all bespoke Microsoft excel and access tools used to support reconciliation and client money shortfall processes
Technical
  • Identification, raising, tracking and prioritisation of technical issues.
  • Technical liaison with IFDS to support Cash and Asset Reconciliation Managers.
  • Identification of technical process improvements.
  • Completion of BAU activities, with outstanding TCLs, that have not been passed to BAU team due to technical issues.
Communication
  • Inter-department communication between colleagues and senior management
  • Obtain management requirements and create suitable documentation in order to meet needs, this includes producing MI,  detailed reports, presenting, delivering and discussing reports to different levels of the management team etc
  • Keeping the department informed about upcoming projects and the progress, In order for the team to be aware of any new or updated processes,
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge into a language that is understood by the others in the team in a manner not patronising but informative
Project
  • Specification of business requirements.
  • User acceptance testing for all system changes.
  • Regression testing.

Creation of new procedures to support business change.

Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess: 
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Exposure to man-management
  • A strong degree
  • Good knowledge of various software packages and in particular Excel, Access, Frontier/Recon plus Cashfac
  • Understanding of Financial Services, particularly ISAs, PEPS and Collectives
  • IAQ
  • Pension/SIPP knowledge
