Part Time Finance Officer - Service Charges

As part of an integration programme, this exciting new role has been created within the Finance team. This is a part time role offering 21 hours per week for anyone seeking flexibility. Reporting to the Head of Financial Performance, this role will involve:
- Prepare service charge and leaseholder statements for all customers and estates. This will be to cover following years charges and the reconciliation of current year expenditure to budget.
- Delivering training courses relating to service charges for housing staff
- Liaise with Regional Management Accountants, area managers and housing staff in the production of schedules for service charges in accordance with legal requirements
- Obtaining and providing advice on best practice both from within the partnership and outside sources on the operation of Variable Service Charges
- Monitoring the spend in the services charges application and follow up on any anomalies
- Assisting in the service charge and rent increases process as required
Who we're looking for
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Service charges experience from housing sector highly desirable
- Exposure to leasehold valuation tribunals and resident consultation meetings
- Good basic accounting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Candidates looking for part time work
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
