Mobile Field Service Specialist

Background

Our client relies heavily upon a small number of product specific service providers who carry out a high percentage of the total repair volume. As their market share increases, there will be an increasing need to extend its current repair network, bringing with it the need for reliable evaluation of prospective new companies. There are a very large number of small dealers and repair centres carrying out minimal numbers of repairs. These are not currently subject to regular review.

The role - main objectives

To act as the main contact point between the major Authorised Repair Companies (ASCs), and the company; to monitor, report and influence the performance of ASCs; to support ASCs in all areas of aftersales SVC to develop the repair network as required and to develop ASC relationships. This is  a new role intended as a bridge between the market and the company - communication with the market is the key objective for the role.

Duties

To develop existing KPI reporting from ASCs; to ensure ASCs perform against contracts and agreed KPIs; to identify and bring new ASCs on line as required by the business; to act as single point contact for ASC network; to review and rationalise small repairers

• Strong experience in a service/returns environment, preferably within the consumer electronics industry  
• The candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of communication skill in both verbal and written forms.
• Some technical understanding and ability is desirable but the role should not include the need to physically repair products.
• Travel to all areas of the UK should be expected, so the candidate must hold a clean driving license and be flexible in working patterns
