Reconciliations Clerk

About our client:

Our client is one of the largest business service centres in South Wales. Based on the outskirts of Cardiff. If you are a Reconciliations Clerk then this is an opportunity for you.

Description:

In this role you will be required to:

  • To reconcile all central bank accounts on a daily or weekly basis and monthly basis, in accordance with client requirements.
  • To reconcile balance sheet control accounts on a daily or weekly and monthly basis, in accordance with client requirements.
  • To complete all escalations and investigations in accordance with agreed time scales, ensuring that appropriate records are maintained to evidence escalation controls in operation.
  • To calculate journal requirements to reflect payments from and transfers between bank accounts, including inter-company accounting.
  • To liaise with Banks to investigate and resolve unidentified bank transactions.
  • To produce client reports in respect of bank and other reconciliations, escalations and bank charges.

Profile:

You will need:

  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Computer literate, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and knowledge of Oracle Financials highly desirable.
  • Accounting/double entry bookkeeping experience is essential.
  • Exceptional quality focus, including accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal confidently and prudently with the client and colleagues.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
