Assistant Accountant

This is an Assistant Accountant position with one of Maidstone's best employers.  The role contains a mixture of treasury and management accounting duties.

You will be responsible for producing daily and monthly treasury reports, management accounts, accruals and pre payments, VAT returns and the fixed assets registers.

The role offers long term career development, internal progression and a supportive environment for candidates who are studying for professional qualifications.

Who we're looking for

Our client is looking for:

• a strong background in finance / accounting,
• experience of treasury and cash management,
• some exposure to management accounting would be beneficial but is not essential,
• somebody who is looking to progress there career to a full accountant role in the medium term,
• a demonstrable commitment to pursuing a professional accountancy qualification,
• the ability to work well with people from various backgrounds.

This position would suite somebody who has strong treasury experience and is looking to broaden their career into a full accounting role.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
