Part-Time Assistant Financial Controller

The main purpose of the role is to give support to the Financial Controller to ensure all aspects of the accounts are completed accurately and promptly.
This role will be for 3 days per week.
This is a hands-on, varied position, which requires a person who has flexibility in working practices and the desire to succeed in a challenging role. Assisting the Financial Controller with bookkeeping duties: Including:
- Purchase Ledger responsibilities, payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations
- Raising standard invoices for Fee’s generated
- Bank reconciliations multi currency
- Weekly and monthly reporting for the Financial Controller
- Assistance with the monthly management accounts reports alongside the Financial Controller, this includes the production of Profit and Loss accounts, balance sheets and trial balance figures
- Cashbook maintenance and posting
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns
- Petty cash posting and reconciliation
- Payroll
- Administrative responsibilities
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including a high standard of English, tact & diplomacy, patience, professionalism
- Exposure to and knowledge of bookkeeping duties in a busy environment
- Advanced Excel - prerequisite
- Bookkeeping skills, including ledger and reconciliation skills
- This vacancy may be suitable for a candidate studying towards a professional qualification
