Trainee Recruitment and HR Coordinator

About our client:

Our client is an International Law Firm based in Central London.

Description:

The Trainee Recruitment and HR Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining a link between the graduate recruitment team and the HR development of the firm’s trainee solicitor population. The role will encompass support for the selection process through screening candidates, assisting with assessment centres, vacation schemes, on-boarding of trainees once recruited, the future joiner programme, trainee solicitor induction.

 Key Responsibilities:Graduate Recruitment
  • Initial screening of candidates and assistance with selection processes
  • Supporting the Graduate Recruitment Officer with the production of statistical information
  • Responsible for the shared graduate recruitment inbox, requesting references and creating vacation scheme and training contract offer letters
  • Maintaining spreadsheets with vacation scheme and training contracts offers, processing invoices and adding candidates to the internal system
 Trainee Solicitor Development
  • Organising future joiner events, including the link with the firm’s students, training solicitor induction
  • Organising the administration of training processes including international and client secondments, seat planning and qualification
 General HR Administration
  • Managing the databases and files
  • Tracking appraisals and training records
  • Holiday recording
  • Responding to reference requests
  • Managing train and future joiners expenses

 

Profile:

Candidates should have Experience of Graduate Recruitment and Selection.

  • Training Coordination or Graduate Recruitment in a legal firm would be highly desirable.
  • You must have the ability to communicate effectively with students, future trainees, trainee solicitors, professional organisations, partners and colleagues.
  • You will have an understanding of the legal recruitment sector and knowledge of the UK education system.
  • Must have excellent organisational and event planning skills.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.

What's on offer

£25,000 - £29,000 salary plus excellent benefits.
