Assistant Accountant

 Main duties of this role are:

• Preparation, posting and analysis of accruals and prepayments
•  Preparation of month end subledger reconciliations
• Accounting for fixed assets
• VAT return completion and analysis
•  First line review of payment runs
• Collation of data to support tax return filings
• Assistance in preparing regular management reports and metrics
• Analysis of general and administrative expenses
• Assistance with cash flow forecasting
• Assistance with budgeting process for business plan and major outages
• Administration of standing data
• Ad-hoc accounts duties.

• Part qualified accountant preferred
• Strong knowledge of month end close processes, reconciliations and analysis
• Preparation of regulatory returns
• Experience in manufacturing/industry preferred
• JD Edwards experience desirable but not essential
• Strong spreadsheet skills
• The ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels.

Permanent position, £25,000 - £28,000 pa plus a very competitive benefits package.
