Assistant Accountant

• Co-ordinate the transfer of entity information to the management team and to International Controllership on a monthly basis.
• Prepare commentaries on balance sheet and P&L items on a monthly basis.
• Support the accounts preparation and audit of a portfolio of entities.
• Work with other departments to ensure an efficient flow of information and resolution of issues identified pre-transmission.
• To work with the transactional support teams to ensure ongoing reconciliation of Oracle records to outsourced records is performed in a timely manner and reconciling items actioned.
• To provide support and accounting analysis to the Tax team as required.
• To provide support and accounting analysis to the  regulatory/licensing teams as required.
• Review of journals for integrity and compliance with accounting policies and International Schedule of Authorisation (ISOA).
• Ensure Local GAAP Oracle books are maintained on a monthly basis.
• Undertake adhoc projects as required.

Who we're looking for

• Good level of IT skills, Excel/Word/Oracle
• Ability to work to tight timetable and maintain high quality output
• Looking to or beginning to study for, a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Customer focused.
• Organised approach to work
• Pragmatic, thorough and disciplined

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
