Finance Manager

¨      Manage, oversee, train and support administrative staff  

¨      Oversee sales ledger processing across 2 sites. 

¨      Ensure month end, year end and any other reporting deadlines are met on time

¨      Process nominal entries including journals.  Take monthly accounts to trial balance completing month end checklists and ensuring results are accurately reflected in month end account pack for review by Assistant FC / FD. 

¨      Reconcile revenue monthly to source, provide trading reports to finance and operations monthly¨      Provide nominal account analysis as required¨      Ensure all balance sheet accounts and key profit and loss accounts are reconciled monthly with financial controls and systems adopted in line with group policies and procedures.  Highlight issues to Assistant FC / FD  ¨      In conjunction with Assistant FC, FD and operations develop and prepare month end reporting pack including variance report, commentary on results and financial and non financial KPI’s a) for operational use, b) for Board use demonstrating commercial understanding of the business.  ¨      Assist operations management in daily KPI and financial reports¨      Prepare indicative weekly profit and loss accounts from operational data and support weekly forecasting¨      Assist in preparation of annual budgets¨      Prepare divisional audit files for internal and external audit purposes. ¨      Contribute to improvements in availability / frequency of operational financial information. ¨      Facilitate and contribute to monthly meetings between finance and operations¨      Provide financial support to operations and assist operations in understanding and interpreting the accounts to benefit business growth¨      Provide ad-hoc Divisional and Group support, information and reports, as required¨      Provide support to Assistant FC, FD and wider finance team as required (e.g. on tender submissions, capital expenditure approvals, etc)¨      Develop and contribute to culture of continuous improvement and automation of reporting, systems and procedures¨      Participate in and contribute to senior finance team meetings and ensure effective regular communication is maintained with Assistant FC, FD and between finance, operations and sales

 

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will be a studying finalist or qualified by experience candidate with the ability to manage a team and complete the above list of tasks.

Excellent people and communication skills are a must, as well as strong systems knowledge.

What's on offer
