Bookkeeper & PA

You will need previous knowledge in the duties outlined below:

·  Entering all transactions into Quick books, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Bank.

·  Paying monthly salaries and related HMRC via bank transfers, posting of the monthly wages journal, and liaising with the external agents as required.     

'   Using Quick books to undertake weekly bank reconciliations of the main bank account, and two other bank accounts

·   Maintaining Accounts Payable (Purchase Ledger), ensuring that supplier invoices are properly authorised, entering these onto the system, and arranging payments by bank transfer.

·   Maintaining Accounts Receivable (Sales Ledger), raising sales invoices to customers as required, including monthly recharge invoices.

·   Processing of staff expenses claims, ensuring these are properly authorised, and paying these by bank transfer.

·   Banking of all cheques received

·   Maintaining and filing of all accounting documentation

·   Undertaking credit control including provision of monthly credit control statements and undertaking debtor chasing.

On the PA side your duties will be:

·   Organising the Director’s appointments, travel arrangements and diary.

·   Dealing with the Director’s correspondence, documents and messages. Proof-reading, formatting of correspondence and documents.

·   Scheduling all Board meetings and preparing papers for Board Meetings and Annual General Meetings.

Ensuring all statutory and related returns are completed in relation to Companies House and other agencies

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will have previous bookkeeping knowledge as well some PA duties.

You will need to be a very proactive and hard working individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will also need good Excel and Word knowledge.

It would be beneficial if you were studying towards either ACCA or CIMA aswell. Previous understanding of the accounting system Quick books would be advantageous.

What's on offer

As well as a generous starting salary. The salary ranges from 25k - 30k depending on skill set, you w ill also be entitled to a 6% pension.
