Credit management activity within Allianz is predominantly focussed on collecting premiums from the broker, as the brokers are also responsible for premium collection from clients as well as selling products.
This is driven by a monthly statement of account which is produced either in paper format or electronically.
Each credit controller in the team is responsible for their own panel of brokers with the credit control activity being concentrated around agreeing the items that are okay to be settled, identifying and resolving any queried items in order to secure payment, collecting the payment and reconciling the payment when it is received.
The role involves taking responsibility for credit control of a particular ledger of accounts. You will need to prioritise daily workload to achieve agreed targets, maximise cash flow and minimise bad debts.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Collection of outstanding premiums
- Cash allocation and reconciliation
- Cash flow management
- Resolving account queries
Who we're looking for
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate experience of a background in credit control.
Technical skills required for the role are as follows:
- Ability to apply effective credit control techniques in a regulated environment
- Good financial awareness
- Strong numeric skills
- Knowledge of Excel to at least Intermediate level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
