Description:
Reporting to the head of controlling in Germany, this role will work closely with and support the Managing Director EMEA with various financial/sales reports and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following.
- Ensuring timely, full and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Subsidiary controlling of assigned subsidiaries (e.g. variance analyses)
- Preparing monthly business review presentations
- Verifying submitted individual financial statements regarding their plausibility
- Contact person for all questions regarding the software Hyperion Financial Management
- Supporting the sales reporting and controlling
- Participating in the forecast and budgeting process
- Analysis / commentary of financial and sales trends
- Develop a good understanding of the core business needs/drivers
- Close involvement of the day-day sales & business operations
Profile:
A sound knowledge in the area of financial accounting, knowledge of international reporting standards (IFRS) and consolidation is an advantage.
A strong IT background in Microsoft office applications (especially Excel) is essential along with experience in data base queries and SQL is a distinct benefit.
You must have the ability to work independently in a pressurised environment. Additionally you will be a keen team player with the ability to work within remote teams across different cultures. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation both verbally and in writing. It would be a distinct advantage to have German has a second language in addition to English, but not essential. You will be required on occasions to travel to other European offices for the purposes of meetings and training.
