Main responsibilities of the role include:
Maintain up to date accounting data on financial system
Monitor income streams and maintain system of credit control
Monitor monthly departmental expenditure
Provide a back up for payroll function
Provide a back up for cash office function
Shared responsibility for production of monthly management accounts
Produce and maintain Financial Procedures Manual
Support and provide expert knowledge during implementation and maintenance of financial systems
Assist the project team with implementation of retail and finance system from Sage 200 to Navision
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have to have an in depth knowledge of Navision system as a large part of the role will be to deal with the implementation and operational support of the package. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of management accounts and be able to work on your own as well as in a team environment.

V&A Shop is renowned as one of the most successful museum retail operations in the world; the conversion rates and spends achieved per customer are the highest in the UK. Currently VAE has undertaken a project to grow its On-line sales and the implementation of Navision system will directly support the project as well as provide a flexible reporting platform to monitor sales and stocks.
Licensing continues the Museum’s founding principle in providing design resources to manufacturers and industry. Licensing manages licences world-wide in Japan, Europe and USA, and is regarded as the forerunner in museum licensing. Product endorsed by the V&A sells throughout the world as well as in the V&A’s own shops, and covers home furnishings, apparel, jewellery and stationery.
Corporate and Private Hire is a forerunner in its field, with extensive experience in providing services and venue hire within the museum for corporate entertainment, events and conferences.
V&A Images continues to provide a service to academic clients, whilst rapidly establishing a portfolio of professional /commercial image users, both directly and through partnerships with libraries and agencies world-wide.
VAE Finance supports and facilitates the activities of the company as a whole, providing all financial and management reporting as well as operating our Cash Office, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Payroll functions.
