Finance Assistant

Stratford • Permanent • £19000 - £22000

Based within the theatre in the centre of Stratford, you will be working within a small team, reporting directly in to the Head of Finance. This varied and challenging role involves the following duties:

  • Accurately matching, batching and coding purchase ledger invoices
  • Processing all invoices on to the Sage Line 100 system.
  • Analysis and input of employee expenses
  • Dealing with all petty cash transactions
  • Resolve any queries raised internally and from vendors
  • Weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving any differences in a timely and regular manner
  • Assisting with the payroll for around 40 employees
  • Ad hoc duties as and when requested by the head of finance

Who we're looking for

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Previous exposure to Accounts Payable
  • Good numeric ability and accuracy 
  • Attention to detail
  • A confident personality and excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Sage exposure would be beneficial

They have previously run Musical Theatre Workshops aimed at developing new contemporary musicals that represent the eclecticism of multicultural London. Their Education work, artistic training, audience outreach, and approach to Casting all form part of their holistic approach to developing new work and new audiences.Based in Stratford, a major location for the 2012 Summer Olympics, the Theatre Royal Stratford East works to discover and develop new talent and new audiences.The theatre is located within close proximity to both the Jubilee Tube Line and the DLR.
