Tax Technician

You will assume responsibility for specified tax issues, including the following:

Management/Statutory reporting

• Record the corporate and deferred tax charge in monthly charge in monthly management accounts
• Assist in review of estimated tax charge (both corporate and deferred tax)
• Assist in liaising with auditors at year end to ensure tax (both corporate tax and deferred tax) is correctly disclosed in the group financial accounts

Tax Returns

• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns
• Respond to site queries
• Assist in Tax Audits/respond to Tax Authority queries

Transfer pricing

• Review site documentation files
• Assist in the preparation of Transfer Pricing Reports

There will also be an opportunity to participate and be involved in the support of the European Tax manager with tax planning and due diligence activities

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will be ATT Qualified with previous experience within practice or industry.

Previous experience of dealing with a wide range of tax issues including tax reporting, completing and submitting tax returns and VAT.

Strong report writing skills; able to prepare clear, coherent and concise reports and documentation.

Able to plan own workload; schedules and prioritises tasks to meet deadlines

Skilled in the use of spreadsheets with an aptitude to learn new applications software quickly

Well organised; able to keep clear and concise records of work undertaken.

Highly motivated and self driven.

Prepared to take initiative and identify issues

Finisher; pays attention to detail and deadlines

Mobile and flexible (the role will include some travel in Europe)
