The jobholder will be responsible for day the full accounting function for 2 companies to include:  The production of monthly management accounts using Sage software, liaising with the auditors on a quarterly and annual basis, monthly payroll, expenses, VAT returns and reconciliations. 

In addition to the accounts duties, this role will offer the opportunity to be involved in the financial services side of the business within a Hedge Fund finance company.  The duties of this role will be to research and maintain the existing database of over 3000 investors with a view to adding value by following fresh leads throughout the world and creating a monthly star spotting report for management/sales team. 

Duties in this area will be to create best of breed reports:

• Summarise active world stock markets and the hedge fund industry
• Record & track asset flows into the different principle hedge fund strategies
• Establish a top 10 working list of best fundings into different categories and monitor accordingly.

Who we're looking for

The candidate will need to possess the following qualities:         

• Experienced Accountant with practical knowledge of monthly management accounts preparation and cash flow management.
• Self starter and problem solver
• Organised and good at self management.
• Highly PC literate - experience of Excel and Sage
• Excellent communicator with the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Previous experience of system changes/updates of Sage preferable.
• Must be proactive in making processes more efficient. 
• Ambitious and driven individual – opportunities for progression.
