Job Description

  • Collecting and auctioning client transfer requests.
  • Inputting and maintaining transfers onto the accounting platform, and ensuring the accuracy of the record on the customers' portfolio.
  • Arrangement of transfers with third parties and our sub-custodians, in all of the following asset types:
    • Unit Trusts/OEICs
    • Bond
    • Equities
    • FixedIncome
    • Certificated/physical holdings
    • Hedge Funds
  • Reregistration of fund holdings.
  • Review of stock reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy of platform positions, with investigation and resolution of issues promptly.
  • Maintaining book cost history on any internal or in specie transfer movements.
  • Potential raising of trade orders to the Settlements Team if required.
  • Communication and regular updates to clients on outstanding transfers or issues.
  • Maintenance of internal transfer tracking spread sheets.
  • Communication between teams and escalation of issues to Management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge of the general asset transfer process
  • A good understanding of the electronic platforms used in transfers, such as Crest, DTC, Euroclear, etc.
  • Knowledge of the reregistration process for Unit Trusts/OEICs/Fund holdings.
  • Experience with the handling of book costs related to transfer movements.
  • A broad understanding of operational investment processes.
  • Strong experience in collaborating with others evidenced through a track record of achieving success through the successful influencing of teams and stakeholders outside your direct remit.
