My client is a FTSE 250 organisation based in Coventry.

Job Description

The Trainee HR Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Learn system maintenance tasks including management of security "trees", company restructure, set-up tables and work flow maintenance
  • Support with project activities (e.g. testing, data cleansing/data loads)
  • Identify data maintenance issues and perform data maintenance tasks
  • Support the HR Systems Team Leader and the HR and Payroll Systems Manager in identifying optimum system configuration
  • Work with the HR Managers/Finance to ensure timely configuration of system for acquisition data loads
  • Provide PeopleSoft help desk support cover at times of high volume or colleague absence, via telephone and calls logged.
  • Support the annual salary review process
  • Provide ad-hoc data extracts and assist with systems reporting
  • Take ownership of issues and lead by example

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Trainee HR Systems Analyst will have:

  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Knowledge of a HR system - ideally PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of query/report writing tools ideally PeopleSoft
  • Highly IT literate with experience of HR or Payroll systems
  • Experience of working in a shared service Human Resources and personnel function
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure
