About Our Client

The client is a reputable housing association based in Stevenage.

Job Description

  • Ensure tenancy sustainment by supporting and emphasising tenants and leaseholders responsibility to keep to the terms and conditions of their tenancy and/or lease agreement
  • Responsible for tenancy enforcement by taking appropriate action as and when required, in line with policy, procedures and current housing legislation. Prepare statements for court and attend court to give evidence in possession hearings
  • Carry out an annual programme of tenant audits to check occupational details, condition of the property and address any support needs
  • Undertake investigations including carrying out credit checks, taking appropriate actions in relation to Tenancy Fraud such as subletting and abandonment, ensuring compliance with current legislation and the tenancy agreement
  • Carry out programmed flat block inspections and other home visits to tenants, in a professional and sensitive manner particularly to those deemed to be vulnerable

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must have experience in a similar role, for example as a Tenancy Advisor, Tenancy Support, or Housing Officer. They must also be personable and professional.

Please note an enhanced DBS is required.
