A large distribution company based in Birmingham.

Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to ensure high standard of stock integrity to minimise cost. You will be responsible and accountable for an inventory team and MUST ensure that the team are suitably trained and understand process at all times. You will be accountable for all stock across the warehouse and distribution until point of delivery. This is also a customer facing role so it is really important that all inventory activities are regularly reported.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Training of the stock team
  • Management of stock controllers and team leaders
  • Daily, Weekly, and monthly reporting
  • KPI management
  • SLA management
  • Identify cost savings and implement changes
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Ensure operational processes maintain stock integrity
  • Budget management

Skills Required:

  • 3 years stock management experience
  • Change management skills
  • Workload planning
  • Highly analytical
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • WMS & ERP implementation experience
