A subsidiary of a £2billion parent company, my client employ 250 staff in Southampton consisting of customer service/sales/marketing and finance staff.

Job Description

This role reports to the Management Accountant. Duties include:-

  • Responsible for the Purchase Ledger function of the UK business
  • Line management responsibility for 1 Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Processing high volumes of invoices
  • Matching, batching and coding supplier invoices to a bespoke in-house system
  • Gaining invoice authorisation
  • Preparing payment runs in Stirling, USD and Euro
  • Review controls and processes, suggesting improvements and efficiency's
  • Processing and paying staff expenses
  • Company credit card reconciliation
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Ad hoc month end duties

The Successful Applicant

  • Purchase Ledger experience essential
  • Supervisory experience essential
  • Confident working on bespoke inhouse systems
  • Immediately available
  • Able to commit until April 2016
