About Our Client

My client is a not for profit organisation based in Cardiff.

Job Description

As a Senior HR Advisor you will be responsible for all aspects of the organization in a truly

generalist role. In pursuit of this, the main duties and responsibilities include:-

 Contribute to the development and implementation of a People Strategy.

 Drive best practice across the business and facilitate change.

 Primary responsibility to lead on all employee relations matters, (includes absence

management, disciplinary and grievance, etc) advising, coaching and supporting

business managers, ensuring the approach taken is pragmatic.

 Project Lead and delivery of HR business plan objectives.

 Implement policies and procedures through designing content, providing advice and

delivering training on a variety of HR topics, enabling managers to effectively manage


 Work closely with the Director of HR to develop the HR Service, identifying

opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

 Line management and development of the HR Administrators, ensuring efficient

processes are in place for the delivery of high quality transactional HR.

 Management of the Health and Safety Management System, liaising closely with the

Business Services Manager, Director of HR and department managers on all Health

and Safety matters.

 Management of the Occupational Health service (outsourced).

 Prepare reports for the Director of HR for presenting at Executive, Board and

Committee Meetings.

 Attendance at select Committee meetings (e.g. Health and Safety) and

Communication Forums together with deputizing for the Director of HR at other

Committee/Board meetings as and when required.

 Monitoring of statistics and the development of management reports.

 Contribute towards the design and implementation of a new Performance

Management Framework across the organization including the delivery of workshops.

 Working in partnership with all areas of the business to identify solutions to Workforce

planning needs.

 Design and delivery of line manager training, and responsibility for the delivery of staff


The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified with a strong advisory background including both operational and strategic HR.
