Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst role will be responsible for:

  • To provide divisional financial analysis and reporting of information to management to enable them to make informed decisions about improving company performance.
  • Manipulating large volumes of complex information to identify issues and draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations to the business.
  • To be an expert in the sales cube and a go to person for the rest of the business.
  • To gain an understanding of key areas of the business / projects and understand the impact business decisions will have financially.
  • To deliver Divisional month end reporting on time and ensure Financial Reporting is completed in accordance with objectives.
  • To ensure that all reporting and analysis is robust, consistent, timely and accurate.
  • To provide assistance to the FP&A Manager and Financial Controller in delivering an effective year end.
  • To assist the FP&A Manager in preparing and delivering the Gross Margin Budget & Forecasting process and liaise with the Management Accountant in consolidation and reporting.
  • Work with divisional managers to improve the quality of Divisional reporting.
  • To build a network with Non-Finance stakeholders and provide a business partnering role bridging the gap between Finance and the rest of the business.
  • To gain greater insight into divisional financial data and ensure accuracy in the all financial reporting.
  • Develop financial models and other analytical tools that provide management with the instruments to interrogate the feasibility of new and existing products and services.
  • Understand and deliver Daily Sales reporting.
  • Duties and responsibilities may increase and / or change as the role evolves.

This role will development into a team management role for the right individual.

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Financial Analyst will require these skills:

  • Hold a degree qualification or equivalent
  • Be studying ACCA/CIMA and looking to qualify in the next 1/2 years
  • Previous analytical experience in a finance department
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate large amounts of data
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities

What's on Offer

The salary for the Senior Financial Analyst role will be dependent upon experience and qualifications between £30,000 and £40,000 plus a good study package and bonus scheme.
