Job Description

Senior Credit Controller duties and responsibilities;

  • Chasing debts by telephone, e-mail and letter
  • Liaising with customers to ensure payment is received on time.
  • Customer query resolution.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Other ad-hoc duties
  • Maintaining notes on a credit control system
  • Use of SAP for invoice retrieval and client data
  • To maintain procedures as per the company's Credit Policy, for the collection of cash.
  • Day to day management of credit accounts, including the commencement of litigation where necessary.
  • Liaising with the company solicitor when required.
  • Undertake regular reporting to the Credit Manager and the business including debtor levels and overdue accounts.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate will be numerate and have a good understanding of accounting transactions with solid credit control experience and ideally a background building relationships with key accounts and customers.

  • Excellent communicator
  • Proven credit control experience
  • Ideally knowledge of the retail and/or wholesale industry
  • A proven experience in a credit control environment and will have a pro-active approach to work

The successful candidate will have a proven experience in a credit control environment and will have a pro-active approach to work. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills and have the ability to build effective working relationships with both customers and colleagues.

In addition, the candidate will need to be computer literate and have strong planning & organising skills. Strong Excel skills, Query management & problem resolution skills
