My client is a successful and stable Group, which operates Nationally.

Job Description

The Sales Ledger Clerk will have ownership of one of Group's sales ledgers. You will be reporting into one of the Management Accountants, but there will be a lot of cross team interactions, as there are c. 20 individuals in finance. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • raising a high volume of sales invoices
  • issuing credit notes where necessary
  • maintain and update the invoicing schedule
  • inputting invoice information onto Sage 200
  • allocating payments
  • preparing monthly aged debtor reports
  • posting monthly nominal ledger journals for accrued and prepaid income
  • prepare and issue monthly statements
  • deal with invoice queries
  • reconciling payments made with invoices

The Successful Applicant

To apply for this role you will ideally have previous experience of working in a finance function. However, candidates with accounting qualifications i.e. AAT or degrees, will be considered.

What's on Offer

This is an opportunity to work in a medium sized finance function, which promotes from within. You will start on a salary of £15,380, but periodic increments will be given. There will also be the potential to secure study support for AAT once you have passed your probation period.
