Job Description

Safety Coordinator - Manufacturing industry

Provide support to the Safety Lead and Management teams in the delivery of Safety related Objectives and Projects Duties & Responsibilities

* Assists in ensuring the required health and safety responsibilities are being carried out fully.

* Assists in the correct reporting of safety matters.

* Communicates safety issues across the mill as required.

* Assists in investigation of incidents, injuries and near misses.

* Participates in Safety audits and other monitoring activities.

* Assist in the risk assessment of machinery and operational activity.

* Supports implementation of EMEA safety initiatives.

* Gathers statistical data and analyses to support safety improvement.

* Engages with Safety Reps and Champions around the mill.

* Supports Safety Champion's activities and develops site safety improvement plans.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate who will be successful in securing this role should be somebody who wants to advance their career within the industry. They are looking for long term prospects and development.

This position requires a technical qualification, a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health.

Some experience in a Safety role would be beneficial. Experience in a FMCG environment would be desirable.
