Job Description

Benefits & Recognition

  • Work in partnership with the payroll team to ensure efficient management and administration of voluntary and company paid benefits, including pensions, to ensure set-up, processing and enrolment is compliant
  • Basic DC pension governance and undertaking regular scheme audits
  • Establish relationships and maintain administrative contact with external benefits providers
  • Prepare employee communication materials
  • Oversee the administration of the recognition scheme. Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Deal with escalated queries.


  • Act as a key analytical support to the Reward team, researching and modelling data, collating and analyse information to identify trends and develop market knowledge
  • Support reward programmes such as job families and roles, administration of salary reviews, bonus and incentive schemes
  • Job evaluation using Towers Watson methodology
  • Responding to and dealing with salary and benefits surveys

Continuous Improvement

  • Build relationships, influence and persuade others within and outside of the HR team to ensure all reward data is accurate, guidance is followed and processes are embedded in the organisation
  • Continuously review and develop reward processes to achieve optimum efficiency, data accuracy and data quality. Drive process and improvements to ensure they are simple, agile and meet business requirements.
  • Ensure the HR system is kept up to date in relation to configuration requirements for Reward data
  • Document improvements, and train and develop the wider HR team on reward and benefit processes, and ensure that all training materials and procedures are correct and up to date

Group Activities

  • Support with preparing offer letters and contracts for the Senior Leadership Team as well as addendum letters regarding changes in terms and conditions
  • Maintain employee personnel files (electronic and paper based) for the Senior Leadership Team
  • Prepare Welcome Packs for SLT and distribute - ensuring shared drive contains supporting documents
  • Maintain SLT spreadsheet to support with cyclical Group Reward activities (LTIP, SLT Bonus, Pay Review)

The Successful Applicant

  • Broad understanding of Reward frameworks, principles and best practice
  • Working knowledge of DC pension schemes and auto enrolment
  • Working knowledge of a formal role evaluation methodology and experience evaluating roles
  • Experience in producing financial and management reports, statistical information and analysis
  • Good knowledge of payroll
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a 'can do' attitude
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel practitioner (Using Excel (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, nested IFs, pivots etc.)
