About Our Client

This role will be working with a senior, professional team and based at the head offices of a shared service centre in central London.

Job Description

  • Responsible for all aspects accounting for revenue in accordance with the reporting guidelines
  • Development and preparation of monthly gross margin variance analysis for Senior Management Team
  • Responsible for streamlining billing process to maximise automation or process whilst adhering to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) best practice ensuring all billing is completed in a timely manner
  • Communicating all monthly revenue accruals relating to group companies in a timely manner to reduce imbalance on monthly reporting figures
  • Working with Intercompany Credit Controller to resolve any queries from group companies relating to invoicing to ensure intercompany debtors and creditors balance
  • Responsible for liaising with Credit Control in relation to inputting all group reporting using SAP BFC (Cartesis) including actuals, compliance, Pro- forma, budget and forecasts
  • Liaising with external auditors at annual review in relation to revenue and transactional queries in Management Accounts
  • Ad hoc billing and other related activities as and when required

The Successful Applicant


  • Part Qualified (ACCA or CIMA)

Specialist Knowledge

  • Experience in analysing revenue streams and margins
  • Ability to design and implement an efficient revenue accounting and recording process whilst ensuring accurate billing
  • Experience of preparing and analysing management accounts in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to reconcile balance sheet accounts in order to comply with SOX requirements

Communication, Planning & Decision Making

  • A proven track record of adapting positively and effectively to a changing environment
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of people both externally and across the business at all levels
  • Ability to deal with Client query in an efficient and professional manner
  • Be a good team player
  • Experience of planning and organising work effectively, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with line management on regular basis to inform of progress and performance updates

IT Skills

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of using SAP BFC/Cartesis is an advantage but not prerequisite
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt excel documents to leave audit trail
  • Previous experience with Maconomy accounting systems is an advantage but not prerequisite
