Job Description

The role of the Recruiter in Southend-on-Sea will focus on -

  • Accountable for the management of end to end recruitment process (external and internal).
  • Research and manage all sources to market. Identify, develop and manage relationships with suppliers, and other sources to market, to drive direct attraction, the Olympus Employee value proposition and equality and diversity.
  • Drive the company's social media and online brand to ensure that a majority of roles are filled directly.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the e-resourcing system, direct attraction methodologies and selection tools to HR and business.
  • Ensure that the company acquires and selects talent focusing on costs, time to hire, quality of hire and equality and diversity.
  • Proactive and continuous improvement of talent acquisition and selection activity to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Responsible for the company operating within legislation, ethics and company values.
  • Responsible for ensuring the company e-resourcing system contains up to date data enabling accurate reporting.
  • Monitor candidate and vacancy progress and highlight areas of poor progress or incomplete data to ensure accurate and complete data for reporting and timely recruitment.
  • Continued input into the development of templates, systems and tools which are fit for purpose, compliant and best practise (candidate and business).
  • Ensure that those systems, tools and templates are embedded into the business and used in all resourcing activity.
  • Point of expertise for the PSL, providing support and knowledge regarding the Terms of Business.
    Provide commercial and pragmatic advice to HR and the business and work with them to develop practical solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all information published on the intranet supports direct attraction and the employee value proposition. Providing education to the HR team and business.
  • Ensure data transfer from e-resourcing process to HR new starter process.
  • Ad hoc project work regarding the ongoing development of the e-resourcing system, templates and tools and selection methods.

The Successful Applicant

For this Recruiter role in Southend-on-Sea, our client is looking for applicants who can offer the following -

  • Experience within a similar role and previous experience of working at this level would be highly desirable.
  • Experience in direct attraction methodologies, including online and social media.
  • Past experience of recruitment systems and KPI's.
  • Graduate profile is preferred.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, creating a climate if trust, openness and respect, demonstrating the ability to relate well to others.
  • Good understanding of relevant employment law and Resourcing best practice. Solid evidence of the ability to apply this knowledge through advice and in the application of processes, frameworks and tools.
  • An understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and awareness of emerging HR, online and marketing trends and its impact on Resourcing.
  • Preferred but not essential - CIPD qualified or working towards.
  • A functional grasp of HR practices and a sound understanding of other business functions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied and fluctuating workload.
  • Ability to make decisions and have confidence in their advice.
  • Ability to influence and effectively manage stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
