About Our Client

The client is a large NHS trust the team include the contract manager, head of facilities and estates. The quality monitoring officer will report into the facilities manager, the role offers progress and training within facilities and contract management. The quality monitoring officer will be monitoring all the contractor within the trust.

Job Description

Ensure all aspects of legislation in relation to the role, NHS guidance, Trust policies, PLACE, Infection control, National Standards for Cleaning in the NHS, Better Hospital Food are implemented and adhered to

2. Prepare and present reports and monitoring information on a wide range of issues for management, service users and contractors, for services managed by the Facilities dept, bringing to their attention any service issues and risks.

3. To prepare, conduct and monitor weekly, monthly and quarterly audits regarding cleanliness, catering, PLACE and other workplace inspections and insure remedial action is carried out.

4. To monitor the performance of external contracts. To ensure contractors are complying with service specifications in line with quality, quantity and cost and take action to ensure compliance with service specification.

5. To assist in the review and development of systems for monitoring performance of external contracts and internal service provision.

6. Produce information reports in a format and timescale which enables the Trust to be monitored accurately and effectively.

The Successful Applicant

The quality monitoring officer will be:

Degree level educated

Previous background in similar role

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

Knowledge in NHS cleaning standards

Facilities management background
