Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to look after the timely entry of purchase orders, efficient management of queries and maintenance of system data to ensure smooth purchase order process and provide good, quick service to clients.

The responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator will include:

  • Entering purchase orders on to the system on day of receipt
  • Issuing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Managing order confirmations and queries from suppliers
  • Maintaining ERP system data with regard to eg part numbers, descriptions, pricing etc
  • Dealing promptly with ad hoc requests and orders
  • Support customer/clients with regard to anticipated delivery dates, providing early warning of any anticipated delays; work with suppliers on delivery date accuracy and adherence

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous order entry experience
  • Experience of using ERP software
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Oral communication skills including listening
  • Commitment
  • Work standards
  • Attention to detail; work accurately under pressure
  • Good team player
  • Ability to prioritise work load
