A Public Sector organisation in York are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis. They are a well known organisation and are regarded as an excellent employer. They have free parking and will offer an immediate start.

Job Description

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk in this organisation you will report into the Finance Manager.

Duties may include but are not limited to, processing invoices, authorising payments, processing the payment runs, raising payments, matching batching and coding invoices, reconciliations, processing expenses, working with petty cash, dealing with queries and any other ad hoc queries.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

  • be immediately available or on a weeks notice ESSENTIAL
  • have held a similar position previously ESSENTIAL
  • have processed invoices and worked with reconciliations ESSENTIAL
  • be looking to work in York ESSENTIAL
  • have excellent communication skills ESSENTIAL
