About Our Client

Our client is a large organisation with a range of bases across the UK. Looking for temporary staff to join their finance team on the purchase ledger function initially for a 6 month period.

Job Description

Purchase Ledger Clerk:

  • To manage and maintain all documentation in a timely manner
  • Ensure all invoices and credit notes are correctly coded both nominal and VAT, authorised and paid within creditors time restrictions
  • Resolve AP transactions in SAP cockpit
  • Reconcile and update supplier statements, liaise, negotiate, retain copy invoices when necessary and ensure information is maintained
  • Preparation of mid month and month end BACS payment run
  • Post and reconcile bank transactions
  • Reconcile and process company credit card purchases
  • Ensure all journals, analysis and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in accordance to the month end reporting timetable
  • Preparation and submission of VAT return and Intrastat to Group VAT
  • Provide full Accounts functions backup during absences
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

The Successful Applicant

The candidate will have worked within a similar position and be used to high volume invoice processing. The successful candidate must be immediately available.
