Job Description

  • Bank downloads
  • Post all payments & receipts to the ledgers
  • Maintain the cashbooks
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Make payments (BACS, ACH, SEPA & TT)
  • Raise cheques (Manual & Computer)
  • Set-up, drawdown & maintain forward contracts
  • Set-up/amend new vendors & changes to bank details
  • Ensure that unallocated payments and debit balances are cleared within a month - with the exception of pro-forma payments
  • Opening Purchase ledger post
  • Maintaining and distributing the purchase ledger email inbox
  • Raise interest invoices for sales ledger
  • Post sales ledger cheques (only at month end)
  • Set-up/amend/cancel direct debits & standing orders
  • Assisting with checking and scanning of batches for purchase ledger

The Successful Applicant

  • Good communications with colleagues and customers
  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Experience using systems i.e. AX
  • To show initiative and suggest changes for improvement
  • Flexible approach to your work, including changeable hours of work.
  • Excellent customer service standards and skills
  • Methodical approach to work processes and procedures
  • Ability to work to deadlines and ensure they are met
