The client is a well established property management company that specialises in managing residential properties across the country. They are currently looking to recruit someone for their Surrey team. Please apply now if you have experience as a property inspector.

Job Description

The role is suitable for an experienced property inspector and has the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Managers in the inspections of properties when problems arise and provide advice.
  • Monitoring the fabric of the buildings and provide reports as required.
  • Monitoring the services provided by contractors undertaking minor works and decorations.
  • Prepare specification of works for minor repairs and decorations to internal and external fabric.
  • Undertake tender process, evaluate tenders and recommend best value.
  • Oversee all works throughout contract term, oversee any snagging works, obtain client sign-off.
  • Undertake site inspections whilst works are being carried out.
  • Diarising annual inspections for all developments
  • Writing inspection reports.
  • Ensuring that inspections of estates are regularly undertaken and all actions brought to the attention of the Property Manager.
  • Checking works and authorising contractor invoices.
  • Producing invoicing reports.
  • Taking photographs with digital camera, downloading, printing them and filing as appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be an experienced property inspector with experience in the private sector. You will also have:

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of Residential Property Management and current legislation
  • Well developed interpersonal and oral communications skills
  • Good IT skills (word/excel/outlook)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • You must have a good knowledge of buildings and building maintenance
  • You must have an understanding of Health and Safety issues
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail essential
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence
