About Our Client

Our client is a multinational market leader in their field, looking for a Part Qualified Accountant to join their European finance function.

Job Description

The permanent Project Accountant will be responsible for the following key tasks and duties:

  • Leading the budget and forecasting cycle for assigned projects as well as managing month end and year end financial activities
  • Ensuring tasks are completed and reports generated to a high standard to agreed timescales.
  • Undertake variance analysis of specific projects / accounts and monitor project expenditure against phased approved project life cycle costs.
  • Set standards for internal control and financial compliance across the Programme and deputise for the Finance Manager in their absence.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this permanent role you must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification: ACCA/CIMA or similar
  • Have a strong academic background and have practical experience of accounting for large capital projects.
  • Experience of Project Accounting within an Oracle environment would be an advantage
  • Be highly articulate with effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to explain project finance to non-finance staff.
  • You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and be highly competent in Microsoft office including Excel.
