Job Description

The role of Product and Planning Co-ordinator will entail:


  • Attend meetings with suppliers, group brands and concession partners.
  • Manage the supply base, negotiating to maximise margin and profit while maintaining supplier relationships and flexibility and ensuring all deadlines are agreed and adhered to.
  • Assist Trading manager in development of department Critical Path and then adhering to key dates set out in this document.
  • Manage department buy plans and the resulting inbound/outbound stock forecasts for logistics/the DC.
  • Allocate stock at both initial allocation & replenishment stage.
  • Monitor department sales, both at line and store performance, to identify & recommend profit opportunities and to minimise markdown. Work with Markdown Optimisation system and raise markdowns as required.
  • Confirm all order details with suppliers.
  • Work with the Trading Manager and Intra-group Brands to ensure optimum stock density across the estate


  • Maintain an organised filing system for store plans/layouts, ensuring that all versions are clearly labelled and up to date.
  • Assist the Product and Planning Manager to optimise sales and margin through effective space allocation and layout planning.
  • Attend regular Store Layout Planning and Work In Progress meetings, taking and issuing minutes as required and communicating new plan layouts for brand intros/exits to key stakeholders to achieve timely launches.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a commercial focus
  • A proactive approach to work and the initiative to resolve issues that may arise
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong team working skills
  • Extremely well organised with good administrative skills - including PC skills (Word and Excel).
  • Accurate with good attention to detail.
