Job Description

  • Provide plant anddemurrPPEta to sales and production as reSHEQted.

  • Provide a contact point for customer services and by liaising with other site staff ensure the prompt resolution of problems

  • When required liaise with customers to help resolve quality and other related issues

  • Ensure that production administration activities are supported fully with enough staff resource.

  • Assist to ensure that data entry is carried out regularly so as to avoid a back-log of Process and stock control paperwork

  • Ensure that reporting requirements are completed promptly and accurately

  • Ensure that systems are in place to monitor the arrival and departure or vehicles to help minimise demurrage, in conjunction with weighbridge

  • Promote a high standard of health and safety across site, through own actions and by instruction to other staff

  • Ensure that SHEQ activities within the production admin office are supported fully.

  • To be located in Reception to receive and process visitors and drivers to the site on their arrival.

  • Meet and Greet all visitors to site/Front of House

  • Answer telephone calls promptly, respond and distribute calls/messages as required

  • Communicate with site staff via site radio

  • Deliver loads onto SAP and produce relevant receipt paperwork

  • Weighbridge operations for loads on/into and off of site

  • Update site board for inputs/outputs

  • Ensure all consignment note and DOC paperwork is completed efficiently, liaising with operations

  • Complete site inductions for drivers visiting site

  • Organise PPE for visitors

  • Receive and despatch couriered items

  • Update franking machine when specified

  • Assist in emergency response checks (fire alarm/personnel & visitor swipe board/book)

  • Issue quarterly waste returns

  • Site filing

  • Update site logs

  • Open and distribute incoming post daily

  • Filing, archiving and scanning of documents as required

  • To assist and provide cover for other members of the Transitional team as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Computer literate especially SAP and Excel

  • Logical approach to problem solving

  • Ability to effectively communicate in all media to all levels within any business

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Pro-active and decisive
