Job Description

The Payroll Specialist role involves;

Role Requirements:

  • To support the high quality delivery of payroll services, in a professional, flexible, accurate and compliant manner.
  • To be a fully integrated member of the EACR HR Services team, delivering a high quality customer focused HR service remotely.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of key payroll processes, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
  • Provide first level advice to the business on payroll related issues
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the business providing advice via telephone, e-mail, face to face and written
  • Ensure a "warm hand off" when queries are required to be redirected within the business maintaining a customer focused approach at all times
  • Identify issues which are required to be escalated and to do so in a timely manner
  • Ensure that employees are paid on time and correctly by ensuring payroll processes in place are followed accurately
  • Highlight potential risks and compliance issues with current and evolving practices that could affect our ability to effectively deliver payroll on time and accurately
  • Compile and prepare payroll data required by third parties and internally such as pension information and other payroll benefits
  • Pro-actively support HRBP'S and other internal stakeholders by providing trends and data analysis
  • Provide non-contractual correspondence when needed, for example, overpayment letters, underpayment letters, etc.
  • Support the transition of new services into the service centre, as required
  • Adhere to the Service Level Agreement in place ensuring performance levels are continually met individually and as a Team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Specialist role will;

  • Must be experienced in operating within a Payroll Team within an HR Services Department
  • Must have a sound knowledge of payroll practices and legislative requirements
  • Experience of SAP data management/processing experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of operating payrolls across multiple European/African countries would be advantageous
