About Our Client
My client is a market leader in their field, they have recently implemented a new system and are looking for a Payroll & Pensions manager to lead the team and take control of the new processes.
To take a lead role in managing the ITrent knowledge transfer/ understanding for the Payroll Team.
Managing the the payroll team to provide a compliant and robust payroll service
To plan and organise the workload of the team to ensure internal and external deadlines are met, including company year and tax year end processing.
To be the primary point of contact for salary enquiries and to process starters, leavers and other payroll amendments.
Ensure that, after the payroll run, any bank credit recalls and payments to overseas banks are made.
To resolve any underpayment / overpayment issues.
Ensure that tax year end processes are completed at the appropriate time including the production of P60s and P11Ds.
Developing new policies and processes relating to payroll processing always ensuring compliance with current legislation.
To act as the escalation point for more complex payroll queries that the Payroll Assistants cannot resolve and where it is judged that escalation is required, and to see those queries through to a satisfactory conclusion.
To be the primary point of contact for pensioners in receipt of an enhanced pension, manage monthly pension payments and the annual pensions increase
Supervise the process of checking and auditing of payroll routines
To manage the final running of the payroll and to process this through to BACS submission.
To make payments to third parties, including PAYE, pensions and court orders, and to ensure that they are made accurately and on time. To reconcile the deductions from pay before the monthly payments are made.
To reconcile pension payments to payroll and to provide monthly reports
To reconcile payments made against the payroll control accounts and to ensure that the monthly payroll reconciliation to the general ledger is completed.
To make staff presentations on systems and procedures, in particular when there are enhancements to systems or changes to procedures.
Appraisals on a quarterly basis
