Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Payroll Officer will have responsibility for the co-ordination and administration of payroll for over 800 employees.

Your main duties include:

  • Overall co-ordination of monthly payroll for 800 staff
  • Ensuring accuracy of payroll reports including hours worked, tax, pension, holiday, sick and maternity pay
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Responding to staff payroll queries
  • Involvement in the sourcing and development of a new payroll system

The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Officer will have a successful background of payroll processing of at least 500 employees from start to finish.

You will need to have exposure of understanding pension scheme operation and be able to undertake manual calculations and knowledge of PAYE and National Insurance rules.

Excel skills should include Pivot Tables and it is preferred if you have been involved in the advancement of systems and report development.
