Job Description

Payroll Manager

Develop full understanding of the 'as-is' processes in place with the current providerAssess current risks, issues & challenges to be resolved as part of the transfer

  • Map all exiting current sickness, absence, reward, bonus and any other monetary schemes in terms of entitlements, eligibility, frequency, approvals required etc.
  • Work with site teams and the Shared Service Centre in one of our locations to design best practice, robust, end to end 'to-be' processes
  • Focus to be placed on high quality controls, simplicity of processes and thorough, user friendly process documentation
  • Ownership of implementation project plan, risk and issue log and regular status updates to leadership team
  • Assessment of all current payroll inputs/ outputs including but not limited to T&A reports, sickness & absence reporting, payroll checks & reconciliation, payroll costings, pay frequency reports, any other ad hoc / post payroll reporting.
  • Regular communication and engagement with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure all payroll instructions received are right first time and within the agreed monthly deadlines, including identification of training required or process improvement.
  • Work closely with the HR & Compliance teams within the overall Shared Service Team and build networks with key customers within the business

The Successful Applicant

Payroll Manager

CIPP qualification or equivalent is preferable.
