Our client is a well known and growing brand based in Crawley looking to add a Payroll Manager to their Accountancy team

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Payroll Manager for a period of at least 3 months to join their Accountancy team in Crawley

The role will involve processing the monthly payrolls for around 350 monthly paid employees. This will include working closely with HR and Finance to ensure the accurate calculation of the payroll, and creating and posting the month end journals.

Completing the P11D's and submitting these to the HMRC and employees by the set deadlines is a key part of this role. Working closely with finance to ensure the companies PSA is agreed and paid over to HMRC on time.

The Successful Applicant

  • Thorough knowledge and experience of payroll preparation and administration. For the level required, we would expect the equivalent of at least 5 years plus experience in a senior payroll position
  • Payroll and HR systems implementation experience
  • Extensive knowledge of PAYE and NI calculations and experience working with PSA's and liaising with the HMRC
  • P11d processing including knowledge in all areas of expenses and benefits
  • Experience of working with a variety of Payroll and HR systems
  • RTI submissions knowledge, including month end and year end activity
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to tight deadlines
